Time to revamp star ratings

Walking around the New York Auto Show last week, I couldn't find any vehicles that had a one, two or even three start crash test rating.  So if all cars are four and five stars, isn't the scale flawed?  It's like everyone in the class getting A's and B's.  If nobody gets C's, D's or F's then it's a flawed system.

One of two things need to happen.  Either the industry needs a new rating system or they need to raise the bar.  Please don't tell me that a Suzuki is just as safe as a Mercedes-Benz.  They may both pass the requirements for that test, but if it was you or your loved ones in an accident, you better believe you want to be in a German car over something lesser.
